The breakfast offered a very good hot selection. I PREFERRED to serve myself. This was better than ordering from a menu. The room was quite comfortable. I also found it clean. The check in was easy.

I encountered limited vegetarian options. The sole choice was vegetarian lasagne. I found this outdated. The gravy was initially not served on the side as requested. YorkSHIRE puddings were almost inedible.

I booked a room only package. i had a friday evening meal and sunday lunch at the restaurant. The food was excellent. the decor was superb. the staff were really helpful and the hotel is located right on the shore of rutland water.

the bathroom in my room had thick mold, especially around the shower. i didn't feel clean! the handrails were sticky. these cleaning issues definitely need to be addressed for a better stay.

i did adore the friendly staff, they were helpful. the room faced a lovely view of the lake, it was so relaxing. the breakfast was also nice, i savored it.

our room seemed so dark and gloomy to me, there were also stains on the beds. i found one moth relaxing in one of the beds, it startled me.
